I am putting this in the Songwriting discussions in addition to the promotion discussion, because this resource really applied to both:

I am always blown away by the wisdom, kindness, and helpfulness of CDbaby. They are the site I sell my CD's and downloads through, and their artist resources end is just TOP NOTCH. And you don't have to be a member or sell through them to access it:

diymusician.cdbaby.com

My favorite page on this is "Derek's Advice". This is a goldmine from Derek Sivers, the founder and CEO of CDbaby. This is grass-roots-meets-professionalism-and-success at its best. Endlessly useful and down-to-earth

I've added some new menu points in each area: "Our ... Advice". I'll be setting up the pages but I've given the both of you the cleance to edit and add pages as well. Don't add pages without me putting a link to the page in the menu cause noone will find it if it's not accessible from the horisontal navigation.

It's a pain to set up the "pages" cause they lack an HTML editor which means you will have to write
each time you want
to
insert
a line break

You can access the new pages simply by choosing them in the menus: "Our ... Advice"
